I have to say that I have been quite impressed with the variety of new launches in green beauty lately.

Especially for the product mentioned in this post because RMS Beauty is a tried and true brand for me that I encountered very early on in my quest to green my beauty routine circa 2012.

I remember how much everyone swooned over RMS’ cream products in the past, more specifically their Living Luminizer that can be found in just about every makeup kit on the planet whether you’re all in with green beauty or not.

Their Living Luminizer is said to provide the most natural, yet vibrant lit-from- within glow, so let’s just say RMS Beauty has been known to truly bring it when it comes to highlighting products.

And now they have introduced some pressed highlighting powders to the mix that I just knew would have us all quaking.

RMS Beauty’s Madeira Bronzer (15g/0.52oz, $38) is described as “an enchanting sun-kissed bronzed highlight.” This particular bronzer was inspired by their Buriti bronzer which I have tried in the past.

There are also two other luminizing powders that launched alongside this one that were inspired by RMS Beauty’s Magic Luminizer and Magic Mixer. They are Grand Dame which is described as “an alluring moonlit-champagne luminosity” and Midnight Hour “a glowing rose-gold radiance.”

I decided to try out the Madeira bronzer first since I had previously tried the Buriti bronzer and liked it for highlighting purposes in the past.

The Madeira Bronzer is a silky powder that glides on the skin and blends quite easily. It doesn’t give off a powdery finish which lends to its very natural appearance on the skin. It is lightweight, buildable, and literally melts into the skin.

On deeper skin this works like a highlighter would since the golden sheen in this product is the only thing most prominent. The bronzed pigment does not show up as it does on those with much fairer skin. I apply this as a brow bone highlight and also a bit on my nose and then on my cheekbones and then boom! I look angelic.

Although this product cannot be used the same way for everyone, I love that it works in a multipurpose fashion so that it is more inclusive and can be used by anyone.

Plus, this bronzer has too much sheen in it for it to be considered a traditional “bronzer” in my eyes so my intentions were to use it as a highlighter when I first purchased it and it has worked out wonderfully this way.

It gives me such a natural golden glow that is not too yellow or orange and is just the perfect golden tone for a deeper complexion. It is quite “glowey” but just not in the disco ball/ strobe light kind of way with way too much shimmer. This is definitely an everyday kind of highlight that is more subdued and skin-like but can also be built up for more intensity if that’s what you’re into.

I love the way this highlighter functions and how it looks on my skin. I now can’t wait to try out Midnight Hour or Grande Dame next. Have any of you tried any of these highlighting powders or plan to?
